Berwick Sponsor SPIC Good to Great Seminar

Berwick Sponsor SPIC Good to Great Seminar

Berwick Care were pleased to sponsor the SPIC Good to Great Care Seminar at the Shrewsbury Town Football Stadium on 20th July 2017. Attended by many of the area’s leading care providers they were rewarded with passionate and inspirational speeches.

David Coull of Coverage Care was first up with a remarkably candid talk on ‘What happens when things go wrong, from a provider’s perspective’, for which he won a well-deserved round of applause. An insightful talk from Karen Carpenter asked the question, ‘Do people go to work to do a bad job?’, and included some fascinating case studies.

Following the break Kerry Collinge, former Head of Marketing at Cadbury’s, asked the question, ‘What does your home do that is different to the next one?’. Wrapping up the event was the legendary Jonathan Cunningham of Storm who gave an outstanding speech on what it takes to deliver Outstanding Care. Jonathan sent delegates home on a high, over-weighed by free forms, templates and most importantly, ideas that he threw out like confetti.

Les Jones, one of the exhibitors commented that Jonathan is more than outstanding, he is exceptional.

Nicky Jacques, Joint Chief Officer of SPIC, said it was a great event, with lots to learn and reflect on and commented on the energising speakers.

Conveniently, the seminar concluded at 1pm to allow the care managers to head back to their respective homes to start putting some of the great suggestions into place immediately.

Here’s some images from the great day below.
