With the prospect of planned blackouts in the UK becoming more and more of a possibility, it's only natural that concerns are going to be raised around the well-being of your residents and care staff alike. One question that has been asked multiple times is about the use of air/alternating mattresses, and what will happen in the event of a power cut or blackout.

Will the air mattress deflate? How can we prevent the air mattress from deflating? What if we cannot move the resident from bed? What if the resident simply cannot sleep on a static mattress due to the risk of pressure sores?
