Helping Local Families in Need
Berwick Care has recently been privileged to work alongside 2 wonderful charities, whose focus is on helping to sustain local families and individuals in need.
The Feed a Family campaign was relaunched in August as a way of helping food banks across the West Midlands to continue to run and help people struggling through the cost of living crisis. Since the campaign sprang back to life at the end of August, food banks and organizations providing help in Stafford, Wednesbury, and Wolverhampton have been among those featured, showcasing the struggles they have had since the crisis began.
The Shrewsbury Ark provides ongoing support and day centre facilities for the homeless and vulnerable in our community. They never charge for their services and never turn anyone away. The Shrewsbury Ark offers basic living facilities to their clients, such as a hot shower, laundry, internet, phone charging, and hot meals and drinks. In addition to these basic resources, they also provide warm clothes, sleeping bags, and food supplies, amongst many other practical, social, and welfare facilities. Using Berwick's donation, £78.22 worth of goods including food and toiletry items were delivered to the Feed a Family and the Shrewsbury Ark charities.
